Advantages of TR90 eyeglasses frames

The full name of TR-90 is “Grilamid TR90″. It was originally a transparent nylon material developed by the Swiss EMS company. Due to its various properties suitable for the production of frames, it has been widely used in the optical field in recent years (in fact, there is also a kind of TR-55, but its characteristics are not suitable for frame products). TR90 is the nylon 12 (PA12) of EMS company and has the following advantages:

1. Light weight: about half the weight of the plate frame, 85% of the nylon material, reducing the burden on the bridge of the nose and ears, making it lighter and more comfortable to wear.

2. Bright colors: more vivid and outstanding colors than ordinary plastic frames.

3. Impact resistance: more than twice that of nylon material, ISO180/IC: >125kg/m2 elasticity, to effectively prevent damage to the eyes due to impact during sports.

4. High temperature resistance: 350 degrees high temperature resistance in a short time, ISO527: anti-deformation index 620kg/cm2. It is not easy to melt and burn. The frame is not easy to deform and discolor, so that the frame can be worn longer.

5. Safety: No chemical residues are released, and it meets European requirements for food-grade materials.

As for the so-called TR100 and TR120 materials in the market, they are basically composed of TR90′s raw material PA12. Many domestic manufacturers’ TR90 are purchased from Swiss EMS companies. Due to processing characteristics and processing technology issues, the so-called TR100 and TR120 prices are not comparable. TR90 is high.
